Pack Like a Pro: Must Haves for Your Next Trip

Still from NewsChannel 20 Marketplace

From expandable luggage to dishwasher safe toiletries containers and everything in between, here are a handful of my favorite travel must-haves!

Biaggi Expandable Luggage

Biaggi burst onto the scene in 2014 when they appeared on Shark Tank with their Zipsak! like of collapsible and expandable luggage. Ranging from backpacks and totes to full size rolling suitcases, these pieces are a travelers dream! We stayed in a tiny house hotel in Nashville and it was so great to be able to tuck away a small cube after unpacking instead of taking up precious space with a beg, rigid suitcase. That means it's also great for storing at home, or stowing an extra bag inside of your suitcase to help carry home all of your souvenirs! The Zipsak! line is on sale now (12/20/23) and pieces start at just $19.99 (reg. $69.99). Click here to see more.

Ries Travel Bottles

We've all probably had the terrible experience of having our carefully packed toiletries leak out into our luggage or, even worse, not having the correct sized bottle at TSA and being forced to toss your beloved products. That is officially a thing of the past! Ries reusable designs are leakproof for everything from liquids, to gels, to creams. These TSA approved bottles use an airless pump for easy application of your favorite products, come in two sizes and can be purchased with blank or pre-labeled. They are dishwasher safe so you can use these for many trips to come. It doesn't hurt that they are VERY aesthetically pleasing. Those bathroom selfies never looked so good than with a counter full of Ries! Available in 4 colors, 7 labels, 2 sizes and starting at $15. Can be purchased directly from Ries or at Sephora.

Pixie Mood Kim Backpack

I love a travel backpack, but I don't want to look like I just got out of class either. This stylish bag from Pixie Mood is my travel dream come true. I've taken this bag on several trips and it never disappoints. With a pocket that faces my back, I can securely stash my passport, ID, tickets, and some cash in a place that is easy and quick for me to access but secure from pickpockets.

It's convertible strap allows me to keep it securely on my shoulder while also having easy access to the top zip compartment. Available in many colors this bag can be purchased directly from Pixie Mood or ordered from SBW Boutique in Springfield.

Komuso Shift

Travel anxiety can hit you at the most inopportune times and so I don't leave home without my Komuso Shift. This small breathing tool can take me from the edge of a panic attack to calm in collected in less than 5 minutes. This TSA approved anti-anxiety breathing tool doubles as a stylish piece of jewelry or can be carried in your pocket, purse or wallet. I wear mine every day and get so many compliments on it. For more info and to purchase, head to KomusoDesign.com and use code THICKFITMOM for 15% off if they aren't already on sale. TIP: If you have FSA or HSA money that you need to use up, these are an approved expense!

Packing Cubes

If you, like me, are a notorious overpacker, you NEED packing cubes!

I didn't think these would be as big of a help as they were when I first got them, but I was wrong. I was able to pack for 5 days in Houston with my daughter and fit everything into our "Personal Item" sized bag and a backpack because of a set of packing cubes and now I always travel with them.

Stay tuned for more tips, products and travel hacks coming soon!

Wanderlustingly yours,

-E
